What to expect?

Are you searching for an engaging and active summer activity for your child? Look no further! We are thrilled to announce our Junior Pickleball Summer Camp for children aged between 5 and 15 years old. 

This is a perfect opportunity for your child to learn a new sport, in a friendly and supportive environment. Pickleball is easier to learn than tennis, less technically challenging, and more social, inclusive, and accessible, so it is great for kids!

Our camps our running on two weeks: 22nd-26th July and 12th-16th August

 

Our head coach has over 5 years of experience running summer camps for young people and our coaches are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where your child can develop their skills and confidence in pickleball. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, our camp is designed to cater to all skill levels.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

A standard day at camp will include a whole group warmup, an introduction to a new shot followed by some practice drills. After lunch we will play lots of fun games and then start playing some matches. The last day of camp is a little bit different as we will have a tournament day with lots of matches and prizes at the end. 

Yes. We offer early dropoff at 9am and late pickup at 4pm. If you would like to book both then let us know on the form and this will cost an extra £20 per day (or £10 for just one of them). This will not include extra coaching but will be time that  is facilitated by our coaches.   

Yes. We offer a 10% discount if you book on for another sibling.

Your child should bring a packed lunch, a snack for break time and a bottle of water which can be refilled throughout the day. It is also important to note that all of our camps our NUT-free.

Children should wear comfortable clothing that they are happy to be active in and trainers. It might also be a good idea to bring additional warm clothes depending on the weather as we will be outdoors. Children should also bring sun cream with them if appropriate.

We provide all equipment including paddles, balls and nets.

Yes our Summer Camp will be run outdoors however if there is bad weather there is a space that we will be able to use indoors.

Bad behaviour will not be tolerated and if it persists following a warning then they will no longer be able to take part in the camp and a refund will not be given at the discretion of the Head Coach (Alex Stone). We have a zero tolerance for bullying of any  kind and if we see any evidence of bullying your child will no longer be able to participate.

In order to maintain low coach to player ratios we book all of our coaches in advance and therefore you must inform us at least 1 week before the start of camp if your child cannot attend:

  • Cancellation 1 weeks before will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee
  • Cancellation 2  weeks before will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee
